Sarah- Yes! It's rediculous that he did that. Nobody deserves to have their life a complete lie like that, nothing was true at all. Why do you think that Cristof chose Truman?
For some reason, the way Christof was acting towards the end reminded me of the end of F451 with Beatty. First he was trying to kill Truman, but ended up feeling dead inside.
Sarah- Yes, I do think the that Christof was cruel to Truman because I think once he figured it out they should have just let him go, instead of trying to force him to stay.
Sarah I think so because Truman wasn't able to have his own life. Also, the director was trying to play God and thats almost offensive that someone should think they deserve that power.
JennyL- His friend, Marlin, is most like Mildred because he loves Truman as a friend but doesn't want him finding out the truth so he didn't support Truman's thoughts. Mildred loved Montag but didn't support his thoughts on books.
Timmy- I think he will definitely go looking for Sylvia. And i don't think it will be very hard for him because everyone in the world knows who he is, and they probably know where she is.
Alex B, I think that she was actually an actor. But she fell in love with Truman and ended up not caring about her carrier but wanted to run away with him instead.
Pierce M- I believe that they planned the show out for many years then found someone who was willing to give up their baby for this show and it happened to be Truman.
Alex~ I think that most of the people were happy for Truman when he freed himself even though they loved watching him was because they wanted what was best for him and they knew that he was in love with another woman and that he wasn't happy with his current life so now that he is free he can have that life he wants.
I think that he will because once he finds Sylvia, he will be living with the person he truly loves. He has a whole world of people that love him. His wife didn't really love him. I think she was acting just so she can be part of the show.
Sarah- I think Truman's fear of water disappeared partly when he found out that his dad was alive, but mostly because that isn't his actual dad. Also, he knows the world is fake and and that there is nothing to be afraid of.
Tyler: i think that he will because life might not be scripted but it is general the same. He might not be able to deal with all the bad things that happen but he has grown up enough with the idea of how things work
Alex B, haha I wondered that, I think it had to due with the form of a finale, to a TV show. So they were probably thinking something like he finally was set free from something he couldn't be freed from earlier, especially because I think that the people in the bar I think it was, when the two ladies were like talking about Sylvia and Truman, they knew that he had always been on the show, and they know his emotions and how he feels, I mean I do that with my favorite shows, so I think that they felt sorry for him that he couldn't really live his life they wanted to. So when he was set free it was a form of relief.
Alex, Silvia actually was a character, but she was in love with Truman, so she had to get taken off the show or else Truman would have found out earlier.
At the end, on the boat, there was an eagle. To me, the eagle symbolized freedom, and that definatly came true when Truman freed himself. Did anyone else get that hint?
Sarah- No, I don not think that the director cared about Truman. Proof is that while Truman was on the boat, Cristov did not care weather he died he would rather see his show be more successful.
Tyler, I don't know if he will all by himself, but since there's Sylvia running after him in the end, he will have her to help him through it until he gets used to it. Since he had everything provided for him, it's going to take a whole LOT of adjusting
Tyler~ Yes I do think that he will be able to survive in the real world because even though he has been living in a perfect world the real world doesn't seem that far off.
Pierce, I don't think so, because in reality he just wanted to go to Fiji to go and get Sylvia, BUT now that it looks like that she's going to get him at the studio type thing, but again, he does want to be an adventurer, so if that's really what he wants then maybe!
Alex, I definitely think it had some sort of symbolism. It almost made him look more majestic and brave. It was ironic when it hit the wall though because it almost symbolizes Truman's life.
Alex B.- I did recognize the eagle on the boat, but now that you mention it, I agree with you and think that it represents freedom. Especially when there was just a moment of the eagle.
Madeline: I don't think that it counts as child abuse because they still treated him well, and feed him. but that it could have been abuse because when he leaves then he will have a hard time with how people act because he is used to people doing things for him, because of him.
Timmy- This "Truman Show" would not be accepted in our society because almost everybody would want Truman to be happy in a normal world instead of a fake world. And yes, the show is completely inhumane. It is an awful thing to put someone in a fake world and make them believe it is real.
Nouhad: I think it was an actor because they said that he was just a misfit child and he had no parents that wanted him so I'm sure that the parents were not like o thats my child and i abandoned him so now i will pretend that i am his mom or dad.
Jessica K- If I was a viewer I probably would had watched the show to a certain extent. Until Truman became real to me and until I felt like I knew him, I would have been like Silvia and frustrated.
Nouhad- I think that the homeless man was his "dad" before he died in the show. So he was an actor but he did raise Truman in a way so he could have cared about Truman in a fatherly way.
Jessica K, That would be very intimidating, especially if it was real. It would be hard, so I honestly don't know what I would do, if it was as extreme as this I don't think that anyone would allow that to happen, and if they did, I would probably be someone like Sylvia, and that way possibly something could happen from that.
Timothy: I'm sure they had to give up most of there life but i would bet that there family lived in this fake town so it was no like it was a bad thing
Jessie- I think Truman was born between the two actors that played his parents on the show because they said he was adopted right into the corporation.
Sarah: I think that he will be happier in the real world because he would have more people to love him because of the TV show and what he has gone through. He followed the hero's journey in a way because even though a storm hit, he was determine to keep going. He was brave and courageous. I think that people in the real world admire him for that because he showed them that you can do anything if you are determined to. Truman also has Sylvia, and she truly loves him unlike his wife who didn't support him, and who wasn't there for him.
do you think the director has been cruel by faking trumans life?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you predict will happen to Truman? Will he go looking for Sylvia?
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think the majority of the people were happy when Truman freed himself? Didn't they love to watch him?
ReplyDeleteWho do you think Truman's friend is most like in F451?
ReplyDeleteWas Truman still scared of the water when he found out that is dad was alive?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think Truman will do now? How will the real world affect his personality?
ReplyDeleteSarah-
ReplyDeleteYes! It's rediculous that he did that. Nobody deserves to have their life a complete lie like that, nothing was true at all.
Why do you think that Cristof chose Truman?
What was the Omnicom building where Truman went in, and was kicked out by the police?
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, the way Christof was acting towards the end reminded me of the end of F451 with Beatty. First he was trying to kill Truman, but ended up feeling dead inside.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think Sylvia didn't tell Truman about the show the moment she got the chance instead of when she was about to get caught.
ReplyDeleteDo you think that there's some irony that the director was portrayed as a form of God to Truman in the end?
ReplyDeleteWhat was the significance of the different clothes that Truman wore in the end?
ReplyDeleteSarah: I don't think it was curl but not fair. he should have at least told him.
ReplyDeleteSarah
ReplyDeleteI dont think Christof was cruel for filming Trumans life. But if this really happened I would feel like it was an invasion on his privacy.
Sarah- Yes, I do think the that Christof was cruel to Truman because I think once he figured it out they should have just let him go, instead of trying to force him to stay.
ReplyDeleteSarah
ReplyDeleteI think so because Truman wasn't able to have his own life. Also, the director was trying to play God and thats almost offensive that someone should think they deserve that power.
Alex- Even though they liked watching the show i think they new that is was wrong for people to be in control of his life.
ReplyDeleteTimmy-
ReplyDeleteI think they both will eventually find each other and Silvia will have to teach Truman to live in the real world.
Sarah-
ReplyDeleteI think it was cruel in a way but I don't think that Christoff thought it was.
Do you think that the director was Truman's father in a way?
ReplyDeleteWhy did they choose Truman to be the star in this "TV show"?
ReplyDeleteJennyL- His friend, Marlin, is most like Mildred because he loves Truman as a friend but doesn't want him finding out the truth so he didn't support Truman's thoughts. Mildred loved Montag but didn't support his thoughts on books.
ReplyDeleteHow did Sylvia get into Truman's world? She wasn't an actor so how did she get there?
ReplyDeleteJenny,
ReplyDeleteI think his friend Marlyn was most like Clarisse.
Will Truman survive in the real world?
ReplyDeleteJamie M- I think they represent how he's becoming his own person and breaking away from what everyone else is doing.
ReplyDeleteKrysta- Before she got caught she did try to tell him about the show. She just did not have time to.
ReplyDeletePierce, i think the real world will effect him and i think he will be a different person now that everything isnt revolved around him
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteKrysta: I think that she didn't tell him because he loved his life. even if he had strait up told him he would still would not have believed.
ReplyDeleteJamie- I think it is almost symbolic of a new start for himself.
ReplyDeleteTimmy-
ReplyDeleteI think he will definitely go looking for Sylvia. And i don't think it will be very hard for him because everyone in the world knows who he is, and they probably know where she is.
Alex B,
ReplyDeleteI think that she was actually an actor. But she fell in love with Truman and ended up not caring about her carrier but wanted to run away with him instead.
Nouhad-
ReplyDeleteI think that in that building was where the actors hang out when they are taking a break.
Pierce M- I believe that they planned the show out for many years then found someone who was willing to give up their baby for this show and it happened to be Truman.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Truman will still go to Fiji?
ReplyDeleteTyler, i think he will but not happily
ReplyDeleteDo you think the director actually care about Truman?
ReplyDeleteAlex~
ReplyDeleteI think that most of the people were happy for Truman when he freed himself even though they loved watching him was because they wanted what was best for him and they knew that he was in love with another woman and that he wasn't happy with his current life so now that he is free he can have that life he wants.

ReplyDeleteTimmy
ReplyDeleteSylvia was the reason he set sail. I think they will find each other and maybe go explore Fiji.
Tyler: i think that he will because life might not be scripted but it is general the same. He might not be able to deal with all the bad things that happen but he has grown up enough with the idea of how things work
ReplyDeleteAlex B,
ReplyDeletehaha I wondered that, I think it had to due with the form of a finale, to a TV show. Alex,
ReplyDeleteSilvia actually was a character, but she was in love with Truman, so she had to get taken off the show or else Truman would have found out earlier.
Pierce- No i dont think so, because now he has no need to, cause he is not trapped anymore.
ReplyDeleteNouhad-
ReplyDeleteI think that Christof was a father to Truman in a different sense and almost in a distant way.
Pierce-
ReplyDeleteTruman was an unwanted baby and he was the baby that was born on the air date for the show. The corporation basically adopted Truman.
Do you think that this type of thing would be considered child abuse?
ReplyDeleteAt the end, on the boat, there was an eagle. To me, the eagle symbolized freedom, and that definatly came true when Truman freed himself. Did anyone else get that hint?
ReplyDeleteSarah-
ReplyDeleteNo, I don not think that the director cared about Truman. Proof is that while Truman was on the boat, Cristov did not care weather he died he would rather see his show be more successful.

ReplyDeleteI think once he finds Sylvia, he might go with her to explore Fiji.
Pierce: I don't think he is going to go to Fiji because i think Sylvia will meet him
ReplyDeleteIs "The Truman Show" inhumane and how do you think it would go over in our modern society?
ReplyDeleteMadeline, no its not child abuse because they are making a tv show about it and hes not a child anymore
ReplyDeleteMadeline- No i do not think this would be considered abuse, because he has been happy until he figured it out.
ReplyDeleteMadeline-
ReplyDeleteMaybe not child abuse since he was never hurt but I think it is like kid napping and holding him hostage.
Was the man that took Sylvia away from Truman really her father?
ReplyDeleteTimmy- I dont really think it is inhuman. And i dont think that could or would happen in our society.
ReplyDeleteTyler~
ReplyDeleteYes I do think that he will be able to survive in the real world because even though he has been living in a perfect world the real world doesn't seem that far off.
Pierce,
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, because in reality he just wanted to go to Fiji to go and get Sylvia, BUT now that it looks like that she's going to get him at the studio type thing, but again, he does want to be an adventurer, so if that's really what he wants then maybe!

Nouhad-
ReplyDeleteNo the man who took Sylvia away as just another actor.
Do you Truman was happy in his life? before he found out that it was a lie.
ReplyDeleteWho was the homeless man? Was that truly Truman's father or just an actor?
ReplyDeleteMadeline: I don't think that it counts as child abuse because they still treated him well, and feed him. but that it could have been abuse because when he leaves then he will have a hard time with how people act because he is used to people doing things for him, because of him.
ReplyDeleteIf the Truman Show was really going on and you were a veiwer, what would you do about it?
ReplyDeleteNouhad~
ReplyDeleteI think that the man who took Sylvia away was just another person that was working for Christof.
Timmy-
ReplyDeleteThis "Truman Show" would not be accepted in our society because almost everybody would want Truman to be happy in a normal world instead of a fake world. And yes, the show is completely inhumane. It is an awful thing to put someone in a fake world and make them believe it is real.
Nouhad- No I don't think it was her father, I think it was one of the people behind the scenes.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Truman will be alot happier in the real world?
ReplyDeleteThey said at the beginning, they adopted Truman, what do you think happened to his real parents?
ReplyDeleteNouhad~
ReplyDeleteHe was just the actor that played his dad.
Which world do you think is a better environment for Truman to live in, and why?
ReplyDeleteJessica- If we were really the viewers it would not really matter what we thought, because we would not be able to do anything.
ReplyDeleteDid the actors on the show have to drop their whole lives for the show? Because they are always there, it's almost as if the show became their lives.
ReplyDeleteNouhad: I think it was an actor because they said that he was just a misfit child and he had no parents that wanted him so I'm sure that the parents were not like o thats my child and i abandoned him so now i will pretend that i am his mom or dad.
ReplyDeleteDid Truman's biological parents sell Truman to Christof or was he taken?
ReplyDeleteJessica K-
ReplyDeleteIf I was a viewer I probably would had watched the show to a certain extent. Until Truman became real to me and until I felt like I knew him, I would have been like Silvia and frustrated.
Nouhad-
ReplyDeleteI think that the homeless man was his "dad" before he died in the show. So he was an actor but he did raise Truman in a way so he could have cared about Truman in a fatherly way.
Nouhad- The outside world because he will finally be with the girl he really loves.
ReplyDeleteJessica K,
ReplyDeleteThat would be very intimidating, especially if it was real. It would be hard, so I honestly don't know what I would do, if it was as extreme as this I don't think that anyone would allow that to happen, and if they did, I would probably be someone like Sylvia, and that way possibly something could happen from that.
Jessie~
ReplyDeleteHe was adopted when he was born from his biological parents because they didn't want him.
Timothy: I'm sure they had to give up most of there life but i would bet that there family lived in this fake town so it was no like it was a bad thing
ReplyDeleteJessie-
ReplyDeleteTruman was an unwanted pregnancy so Christof basically adopted Truman.
Jessie- I don't think they just took him, they said they adopted him, so his parents must have died, or just didn't want him.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think they set the time period that they did?
ReplyDeleteDo you think that the fact that Truman's life was set in the time period it was would affect his transition in the real world?
ReplyDeleteJessie-
ReplyDeleteI think Truman was born between the two actors that played his parents on the show because they said he was adopted right into the corporation.
Nouhad-
ReplyDeleteI think that the outside would will be better for him, but I think he will be paranoid about people watching him.
Sarah:
ReplyDeleteI think that he will be happier in the real world because he would have more people to love him because of the TV show and what he has gone through. He followed the hero's journey in a way because even though a storm hit, he was determine to keep going. He was brave and courageous. Truman also has Sylvia, and she truly loves him unlike his wife who didn't support him, and who wasn't there for him.
Why was the guy in the tub throwing a fit?
ReplyDeleteMadeine-
ReplyDeleteYes I think it will affect him because he will have a lot to learn, like cell phones and computers for example.
Why did they decide to choose truman for the show, what was so special about him verse someone else
ReplyDeleteJessica-
ReplyDeleteI think he was throwing a fit because the show was over and he loved it so much.
Jessica K-
ReplyDeleteHe was a viewer of the Truman Show.
